In the spring of 2017, a domestic argument in Northeast Baltimore tragically escalated, claiming the life of 24-year-old Raynesha Hunt. On the afternoon of May 6th, in the 4800 block of Hazelwood Avenue, a dispute turned violent, resulting in Hunt being shot. Emergency services responded to the scene, and she was quickly transported to Johns Hopkins Bayview Hospital for medical attention.
Despite the efforts of medical professionals, Hunt succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The investigation into the fatal shooting moved swiftly, with detectives from the Baltimore Police Department identifying a suspect in short order. Their inquiries led them to 21-year-old Donae Anderson. Police determined that an altercation between Hunt and Anderson had preceded the deadly shooting. Anderson was promptly taken into custody by authorities and subsequently charged with first-degree murder in connection with Raynesha Hunt's death. Following her arrest, Anderson was transported to Central Booking to await further legal proceedings.
