Alphonza Watson, a 38-year-old transgender woman from Baltimore, was fatally shot on March 22, 2017. The shooting took place in the early morning hours in the 2400 block of Guilford Avenue. Witnesses reported hearing cries for help and then gunshots, and saw two men leaving the scene in a car. When police arrived, Watson was found with gunshot wounds and was quickly transported to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
