Sarah Shannon, an 88-year-old Black woman, was murdered on November 30, 2002, in Baltimore, Maryland. She was one of five elderly victims killed by serial murderer Raymont Hopewell, who targeted vulnerable individuals in their homes. Hopewell, a Baltimore native born in 1971, had a history of drug addiction and criminal activity, including arrests for drug possession and burglary.
