Shawntae Lee, a 20-year-old Black male, was murdered on Tuesday, November 1, 2005. The incident that claimed his life occurred at 1455 Oneida Court, apartment number 21. Following the fatal event, he was transported to University Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Shawntae, also known as Shawn'Tae Lamar Lee, was a father to two children, Tayshawn and Nayshawn Lee.
His family, including his parents, Veronica and Dwayne Stephenson, and Rodney and Linda Thornton, were left to mourn his sudden and violent passing. His funeral was held on a Saturday at Forest Tabernacle Baptist Church, where friends and family gathered to say their final goodbyes to a young life taken too soon.
Despite the passage of time, the case of Shawntae Lee's murder remains unresolved. The Louisville Metro Police Department lists his death as an open homicide.
