In the winter of 2016, the life of Fernandez Bowman, a 27-year-old African-American man, was tragically cut short in Louisville, Kentucky. On the second day of December, Bowman was discovered inside a vehicle in the Algonquin neighborhood, having been fatally shot. He had been driving the car when he was shot, which then led to the vehicle striking a telephone pole, a fence, and a house before coming to a final, tragic stop.
The investigation into the shooting death of Fernandez Bowman
led Louisville Metro Police to a suspect two months later. In early February 2017, authorities located and arrested 34-year-old Quenton Hall in connection with the murder. The arrest was not without incident; police spotted Hall in a vehicle on Dixie Highway and attempted to pull him over. Hall, however, refused to stop, leading to a pursuit that ended with him striking a police car.
Upon his apprehension, Quenton Hall, a convicted felon, was found to be in possession of marijuana, pills, methamphetamine, heroin, and a loaded 9mm handgun. His past felony convictions meant he was prohibited from having a firearm. Hall was subsequently charged with a litany of offenses, including murder, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, wanton endangerment, trafficking in a controlled substance, and possession of marijuana. He was taken into custody and held at Louisville Metro Corrections.
