Deontae Vilada Belcher, a 25-year-old from Rosedale, Maryland, was tragically found deceased on May 1, 2020, in a wooded area along a power line trail near Horns Point Road in Cambridge, Maryland. His body was discovered after multiple 911 calls reported a body lying in the area. An autopsy conducted by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner determined that Belcher died from multiple gunshot wounds, and his death was ruled a homicide.
