In the early morning hours of November 18, 2020, the quiet of a Fort Washington, Maryland street was broken by the sound of a single-vehicle accident. When patrol officers arrived at the 200 block of Taurus Drive at approximately 1:50 a.m., they discovered a far more grim scene than a mere car crash. Inside the vehicle was 39-year-old Michael Sofidiya, a male resident of Fort Washington, suffering from a gunshot wound.
