In the quiet suburban landscape of Fort Washington, Maryland, the life of 22-year-old Giovanni Little, a male resident, was abruptly and violently cut short on the evening of July 29, 2018. The tragic events unfolded in the 7200 block of Shockley Court, where at approximately 7:30 p.m., the sound of gunfire shattered the evening's calm. When Prince George's County police officers arrived at the scene, they discovered Little suffering from gunshot wounds.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation into the death of Giovanni Little moved swiftly. Within minutes of the shooting, responding officers located and apprehended two individuals not far from the crime scene. The suspects were identified as 25-year-old Irving Silva of Northwest Washington and 17-year-old Jelani Edwards of Brentwood. Authorities stated that the two were acquaintances of Little. Following their apprehension, both Irving Silva and Jelani Edwards were charged in connection with the death of Giovanni Little.
