Leon Abney

Death by Force

Leon Abney, a 32-year-old resident of Southeast Washington, was shot and killed on November 17, 2009, during an attempted robbery at the Food Zone Convenience Mart in Fort Washington, Maryland. According to reports, Abney and another individual entered the store with the intent to rob it. During the robbery, the store owner managed to wrestle the gun away from one of the robbers and subsequently shot Abney. The second suspect fled the scene and has not been apprehended.
