In the early hours of New Year's Day 2024, a party in Fort Washington, Maryland, turned tragic, leaving 21-year-old Jarreau Sanders, a Black/African American male from Bowie, with fatal injuries. The gathering, which took place in the 7500 block of Blanford Drive, was shattered by gunfire at approximately 3:50 a.m. Jarreau was one of three people shot during the incident.
