Levi Harrison James, a 33-year-old resident of Oxon Hill, Maryland, tragically lost his life on December 2, 2020. The incident occurred in the 4900 block of Winthrop Street, where police responded to a report of a shooting just after 9 p.m. Upon arrival, officers found James inside his home, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation quickly identified the suspect as Timothy Tyrone Rice, the 50-year-old stepfather of Levi Harrison James.
