In the early moments of a Friday morning, the quiet of a Severn, Maryland neighborhood was shattered by the sound of gunfire. On January 8, 2021, at approximately 12:15 a.m., 34-year-old Brandon Anthony Davis, a male resident of Windsor Mill, was found lying in the roadway at the intersection of Pioneer Drive and Arwell Court, suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
Concerned citizens had already rushed to his side to render aid before authorities arrived.
First responders quickly took over, but despite their efforts, Brandon Anthony Davis succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene minutes later. The Anne Arundel County Police Department quickly ruled his death a homicide and launched an investigation. Detectives interviewed witnesses and canvassed the area, recovering several pieces of evidence from the scene.
In the days following the shooting, police continued to appeal to the public for any information that could lead to a suspect or suspects. However, despite their efforts and the initial investigation, no information about a possible motive or any potential suspects was released to the public.
