On January 25, 2023, Markus Nocho, a 26-year-old resident of Odenton, Maryland, was tragically shot and killed in the parking lot of a Taco Bell located in the Ridgeview Plaza Shopping Center in Hanover. Witnesses reported that Nocho was approached by Alexander Williams, a 34-year-old from Severn, who opened fire on him. Nocho was struck by eight bullets out of ten shots fired and succumbed to his injuries shortly after being transported to the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore.
