A beloved 36 year old father of two is found shot in his apartment In the autumn of 2012, the life of 36-year-old Troy Dujan Garvin, a Black male, was tragically cut short in his own home. On the evening of October 13, 2012, authorities in Louisville, Kentucky, responded to a call about a shooting at an apartment in the 4400 block of Norene Lane. Upon their arrival, they discovered Mr. Garvin's body inside his residence. He had sustained a single gunshot wound to the chest and was pronounced dead at the scene.

and Dujan Garvin, his sudden and violent death left his family and community in shock. Investigators immediately began canvassing the Newburg neighborhood, searching for witnesses and any information that could lead to the person or persons responsible for this senseless act. At the time, there were reports that two children may have been present in the apartment when the shooting occurred.
Despite their efforts, authorities were unable to identify any suspects in the immediate aftermath of the murder. As days turned into years, the case grew cold, leaving Mr. Garvin's family with unanswered questions and a profound sense of loss. More than a decade later, the murder of Troy Garvin remains unsolved, and no arrests have ever been made in connection with his death.
