In the summer of 2015, a life was tragically cut short in Louisville, Kentucky. Cameron Pearson, a 29-year-old White / Caucasian male, was fatally wounded on July 8th in the parking lot of a strip mall in Valley Station. The events of that day unfolded from a heated dispute between Cameron and his brother, Kyle Pearson, reportedly over a stolen gun.
This fraternal conflict escalated, drawing the attention of a nearby business owner and setting in motion a chain of events that would end in bloodshed.
The proprietor of a gun shop in the vicinity, William Scott Albright, heard the commotion and emerged from his store. He stated that he witnessed Kyle Pearson holding a gun and, fearing for the safety of himself and others, intervened. Albright claimed he instructed the brothers to drop the weapon, but the struggle continued. Witnesses reported that a shot was fired into the ground during the brothers' altercation. In the ensuing moments, Albright discharged his own firearm multiple times, striking both brothers. Cameron Pearson sustained fatal injuries and was later pronounced dead at the University of Louisville Hospital. Kyle Pearson was also seriously injured in the incident but survived.
