In the early hours of March 23, 2020, the life of 34-year-old Tray Gaines was tragically cut short in Louisville, Kentucky. Gaines, an African American male, was discovered inside a vehicle in the Portland neighborhood, located in the 2600 block of Rowan Street, just after 12:30 a.m. He had sustained a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
