In the early evening hours of May 2, 2022, the life of 48-year-old Robert Levan Andrews, a Black male, was tragically cut short in his Elkton, Maryland neighborhood. The residential area on the 100 block of Smith Street, known for its close-knit community, became the scene of a fatal shooting that would leave residents shaken and a family grieving.
Neighbors reported hearing the distinct sound of multiple gunshots piercing the evening calm.
Following the loud reports, a vehicle was seen speeding away from the scene, leaving behind a sense of fear and uncertainty. Emergency responders arrived promptly to find Mr. Andrews with critical injuries.
