In the late morning of a summer Saturday, tragedy struck in the parking lot of an Advance Auto Parts store in Takoma Park, Maryland. Nurhusen Muhammed Hamid, a 27-year-old man known as a diligent mobile mechanic, was shot on July 16, 2022. He was found suffering from a gunshot wound and was rushed to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries. Despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries the following day, leaving a community in mourning and a crime unsolved.
