In the early evening hours of April 22, 2022, a sense of unease settled over the 7600 block of Maple Avenue in Takoma Park, Maryland, as reports of gunfire shattered the quiet. Responding officers arrived at the scene to a grim discovery. There, suffering from a gunshot wound, was 23-year-old Ahmadou Bamba Gueye. He was a male resident of Takoma Park.
