In the early morning hours of May 22, 2022, a sense of disquiet settled over a parking lot in Takoma Park, Maryland, where 26-year-old Ivory Areneil Hollis II's life was tragically cut short. Hollis, a male resident of Washington D.C., was discovered by patrol officers around 2:35 a.m. in the 6300 block of New Hampshire Avenue, lying unresponsive with gunshot wounds to his body. Despite the immediate response from law enforcement, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
