On an early morning in Takoma Park, Maryland, the life of 32-year-old Dominique Williams was cut short. On April 7, 2021, Williams and another man, 38-year-old James Lionel Johnson, were fatally shot in the parking lot of the Takoma Overlook Condominiums. The two men, both Black, were confronted by an off-duty Pentagon police officer, David Hall Dixon, who lived in the condominium building.
