James Lionel Johnson, aged 38, tragically lost his life on April 7, 2021, in Takoma Park, Maryland. The incident occurred early in the morning outside the Takoma Overlook Condominiums on New Hampshire Avenue. Johnson, along with 32-year-old Dominique Williams, was shot by an off-duty Pentagon Force Protection Agency officer named David Hall Dixon. Dixon claimed he believed the two men were breaking into a car and fired upon them when they allegedly tried to flee the scene.
