David Craig Smith, a 38-year-old man from Pittsburgh, PA, was fatally shot on April 9, 2020, in the Marshall-Shadeland neighborhood. Officers responded to a 911 call around 5 p.m. and found Smith with a gunshot wound to the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's office ruled his death a homicide.
