Michael Freeman Jr., a 30-year-old man from Pittsburgh, PA, was fatally shot on September 18, 2017, while waiting outside Hanini's Subs in the Brighton Heights neighborhood. Freeman and his girlfriend had just ordered sandwiches and stepped outside to wait when the shooting occurred. Freeman was shot multiple times while sitting in his car, and despite being rushed to the hospital, he did not survive.
