In the fall of 2019, the life of 33-year-old Domingo Dijon Champion, a Black male from Chester, South Carolina, was tragically cut short. On the evening of October 16th, deputies with the Lancaster County Sheriff's Office were in the area of Lymon Reece Road when they heard the distinct sound of gunshots piercing the air nearby. At approximately the same time, a call came into Lancaster County EMS about a man down at the intersection of Brooklyn Avenue and 16th Street.
