On July 23, 2023, 22-year-old Darion Antangalo Antonio Jones was fatally shot at a residence on Saluda Street in Chester, South Carolina. Emergency responders arrived promptly following 911 calls, but Jones was pronounced dead at the scene due to a gunshot wound to the head.
