In the late morning of June 9, 2023, tragedy struck the Gayle community in Chester County, South Carolina, when 42-year-old Anthony Todd Jude, a White/Caucasian male, was fatally shot on Back Gate Street. The Chester County Sheriff's Office responded to reports of the shooting at approximately 11:40 a.m. and discovered Jude deceased at the scene. This violent act cut short the life of a man born in Inez, Kentucky, who had made Chester his home.
The investigation into Jude's death moved
swiftly, and the following day, authorities apprehended a suspect in connection with the fatal shooting. Karall Tamichael Dixon, 30 years old, was taken into custody and charged with murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime. Dixon was subsequently booked into the Chester County Detention Center to await legal proceedings.
Following his arrest, Karall Tamichael Dixon appeared for a bond hearing. A judge denied him bail, and he remained incarcerated at the Chester County jail.
