Eugene Simpson, a 33-year-old resident of Chester, South Carolina, was found dead on May 2, 2021. His body was discovered in a ditch along Stroud Road in Great Falls, South Carolina. Simpson, affectionately known as "Geno" by his family and friends, had been shot multiple times before his body was dumped. His death was ruled a homicide, and it left his family and community in shock and grief.
