Ankee Draequon Pendergrass, a 22-year-old resident of Chester, South Carolina, tragically lost his life on November 17, 2017. Pendergrass was shot multiple times late that Thursday night after visiting his grandmother. The incident occurred on Saluda Street near Foote Street in Chester. Neighbors reported hearing gunfire from more than a block away, describing the sound as resembling that of an automatic weapon.
