In the early morning hours of a Monday in late August 2020, law enforcement in Chester County, South Carolina, responded to a call regarding a possible sexual assault at a residence on Lowrys Highway. Upon their arrival after 2 a.m., deputies made a grim discovery inside the home. They found 40-year-old Cavis Simpson, a male, unresponsive in a bedroom.
