Tony Demond Gill, 46, a Black male, was shot and killed on the night of July 27, 2025, at Carter’s #2 convenience store on West Gretna Road in Gretna, Virginia. Deputies and officers from the Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office, Gretna Police Department, and Virginia State Police responded to a 9:20 p.m. call and found him deceased at the scene.
