On a spring evening in Memphis, Tennessee, the life of 26-year-old Cornelius Montgomery was tragically cut short. On March 19, 2016, inside an apartment at the Avery Park complex in the Raleigh neighborhood, a violent encounter unfolded that would end in his death.
