On July 11, 2011, 17-year-old Jacob Manuel, also known as "Lil Daddy," was killed in Memphis, Tennessee. Manuel had recently graduated from Douglass High School and was well known in his community. The incident occurred in the Frayser neighborhood, which has seen its fair share of violence. Manuel was fatally shot during an altercation that involved multiple individuals. He was later pronounced dead from the gunshot wounds.
