Ivan Lewis Payton, a 31-year-old man from Memphis, Tennessee, tragically died on May 16, 2021. He was found unresponsive in the driveway of a home in the 3800 block of Burr Road, Memphis, with a gunshot wound. Payton was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident occurred after a physical altercation between Payton and another man, Raymond Benson, who was later identified as the suspect.
