In the winter of 2015, a young life was abruptly cut short on a street in southeast Memphis. On December 8th, 18-year-old Deon Saulsberry was near his home on Croley Drive when an argument escalated to fatal violence. He sustained multiple gunshot wounds and did not survive the encounter. The incident took place in the vicinity of Cottonwood Road and South Perkins Road, leaving a community shaken and a family in mourning.
