In the late hours of a Sunday evening in Memphis, Tennessee, the life of 25-year-old Matthew Tariq Harper, a Black/African American male, was tragically cut short. On September 11, 2022, Harper was fatally shot at the Stratum on Highland apartments located at 510 South Highland Street. When police responded to a call about the shooting, they found Harper inside an apartment, where he was pronounced dead at the scene.
