On the evening of January 11, 2025, Nicholas Hamilton, a 42-year-old African American man, was fatally shot during an attempted robbery in the 900 block of Emmie Street in Midtown Memphis, Tennessee. Surveillance footage captured three male suspects approaching Hamilton and engaging him in conversation before the situation escalated to gunfire.
