In the early morning hours of July 13, 2014, the life of 19-year-old Octavio Delrico Dean, a Black male, was tragically cut short in Memphis, Tennessee. The incident unfolded at the Alden's Gate Condominiums, where police responded to a call and discovered Dean with a fatal gunshot wound to his head. The initial account of the event was provided by 20-year-old Jeremey Coleman, who was present at the scene. Coleman initially claimed to authorities that Dean had taken his own life.
