In the Orange Mound area of Memphis, Tennessee, the life of 25-year-old Michael Battle was tragically cut short on the evening of March 20, 2018. The young man was outside an apartment complex when he was fatally shot during what authorities later described as a robbery gone wrong. After being shot, Battle managed to run to a nearby home on Spottswood Avenue seeking help, where he ultimately collapsed on the porch and succumbed to his injuries.
