In what was meant to be a joyous celebration of his 27th birthday, Corey Terell McFadden’s life was tragically cut short in Manning, South Carolina. A Black male, McFadden was reported missing on February 23, 2020, after friends who arrived to pick him up for his birthday festivities late on February 22nd could not find him. This unsettling discovery prompted them to alert the Clarendon County Sheriff's Office, sparking an investigation into his whereabouts.
The search for McFadden
involved both law enforcement and his concerned family members. Tragically, their efforts ended in heartbreak when his body was discovered on a property near his home on Herod Drive. It was apparent that he had sustained gunshot wounds, and authorities immediately began treating the case as a homicide. An autopsy was scheduled to be performed at the Medical University of South Carolina to determine the official cause of death.
