In the quiet early morning hours of October 10, 2020, the life of 12-year-old Edward F. McKenzie Jr. was tragically cut short in a drive-by shooting in Aiken, South Carolina. The young boy was inside a residence when multiple gunshots were fired from a passing vehicle, with at least one of the bullets fatally striking him. Another youth, aged 13, was also wounded in the attack but survived his injuries.
