In the early evening of December 3, 2022, the community of Longs, South Carolina, was shaken by a violent act that claimed the life of 24-year-old Cole D. Coleman. A Black male, Coleman was discovered by police near the intersection of Sandridge Loop and F T Lane around 5:50 p.m. The Horry County Coroner's Office later confirmed that he had died from a gunshot wound and officially ruled his death a homicide.
