In the early hours of July 5, 2025, the life of 17-year-old Jamarion Jackson, a male from Longs, South Carolina, was tragically cut short. The teenager succumbed to injuries sustained in a shooting that is believed to have taken place in the Longs area of Horry County. The incident was one of two separate shootings that occurred in the county on the Fourth of July, casting a somber shadow over the holiday festivities.
