On the morning of Tuesday, December 4, 2018, tragedy struck in South Kansas City, Missouri, claiming the life of a 16-year-old male named Marquise Ray Ellingburg. The incident unfolded shortly after 11:15 a.m. in the 11300 block of Corrington Avenue. A resident in the area called 911 after hearing a disturbance outside. Upon arrival, authorities discovered the teenager in front of a home, suffering from a gunshot wound.
