Cartez Monte Seals, a 28-year-old resident of Kansas City, Missouri, tragically lost his life on August 25, 2019. The incident occurred outside the Brush Creek Community Center, where Seals and another man, Marcus Neal, were involved in a physical altercation. According to court records, the altercation escalated when a gun fell to the ground, and Treshaun Hawkins, a 17-year-old who was recording the incident, picked up the gun and began shooting.
