On July 19, 2024, in Kansas City, Missouri, 64-year-old Anthony R. Brown was found in a vehicle near Northeast 34th Street and Northeast Chouteau Trafficway, suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers had been dispatched to the 3400 block of North Cleveland Avenue around 4 p.m. that Friday as part of a stolen auto investigation. Upon arrival, they discovered Brown in critical condition.
