In the spring of 2018, the life of My'Keon Jerome Wilson-Sanders Sr., a 23-year-old Black man, was tragically cut short in a Kansas City, North, apartment. On the evening of May 24, police were called to the 8000 block of North Thomas Meyers Drive around 8 p.m. for a reported shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered Wilson-Sanders deceased inside the apartment building.
