On May 18, 2020, a violent disturbance erupted in the early morning hours at an apartment complex in Kansas City, Missouri, leading to a tragic loss of life. Officers from the Kansas City Police Department were dispatched to the Willow Creek Apartments in the 9900 block of Walnut Drive shortly after 1:30 a.m. following reports of gunfire.
