Murry Suttle Jr., a 34-year-old Black man from Indianapolis, Indiana, died on March 21, 2012, after violence found him at the Oaktree Apartments near the city’s far eastside crossroads of 42nd Street and Post Road. He was discovered shot at the complex, and the little that surfaced publicly at the time fixed the moment in stark, minimal terms: he was found wounded there and died a short time later at the hospital, leaving behind questions that never made it into the public record in any detail ...
