In the summer of 2015, a tragedy befell a young man in Indianapolis, forever altering the lives of his family and community. On the evening of August 20th, the sound of gunshots pierced the air in the 300 block of West 31st Street. When police responded to the scene at approximately 6:40 p.m., they discovered the body of 16-year-old Jaylen Johnson in the backyard of a residence.
